The end of the season is near, even imminent, with the arrival of snow and cold in the region. Until now, and once again for several years, the Indian summer has allowed me to continue riding in good general conditions. I have 2012 Review therefore been able to maintain a semblance of fitness by doing short intense rides (1h30) to medium (endurance/tempo 3h) without pushing the machine too hard. My load has stabilized around 8h/week or 65/70 TSS/d for a month since the last objective. It is now time to take stock of this 2012 season.
Let’s be clear right away, it’s mixed. My failed preparation due to a series of colds and flus in April/May 2012 Review didn’t allow me to arrive in the form I expected for the first big objectives in June, namely the TimeMégève and the Grand Bo.
My assessment of the power profile revealed
A power deficit in the I3/I4 threshold zone, which is essential for telegram data performing well in mountainous events. After a short break during the summer holidays, things improved following a well-structured recovery to increase my power. Goal: to have a peak in form around September when there were quite a few objectives (Vosgienne, CLM Ballon, Col Amic, Salbert).
On August 15, I took a nice 3rd place in the Ballon en Pass criterium with a start with our ai-powered blog title generator nice 310 w, 5.1 w/kg held for 29 min. I then stagnated a bit because the critical endurance training for the preparation for the 160 km/3200 mD+ of the Vosgienne had somewhat affected my general recovery.
Having had little endurance over 5 hours since the start of the season
I had to put in extra effort. But unfortunately it was risky and the fatigue was even still present on the day of the event.
As it turns out, summer successes are really prepared for at the start of the season, then the delay is difficult to catch up on. The desired peak of form therefore arrived a little late. With the end of long and exhausting outings, it arrived in mid-September, i.e. 15 days too late. The sharpening period should have started around August 20, but it was too short in malaysia numbers list the preparation. On the Amic pass I achieved a great performance with 319 watts 5.2 w/kg over 26 min and I followed up with a CP20@325w 5.3 w/kg on the beautiful girls’ board a few days later.
