A recent study by the International Business Report (IBR), conducted by Grant Thornton, revealed that more than 80% of Brazilian mid-sized companies are investing or plan to invest in protection against cyberattacks in 2024. However, what are the reasons for this prioritization? We explain it to you here.
Who is more worried?
The survey involved around 300 email data companies, among which they demonstrated different levels of concern:
- 41% have been investing for years in improving protection and response to cyberattacks.
- Another 41% started investing in the last three years and have plans to continue in the coming years.
- In 10% of cases, cybersecurity will be treated as a priority from 2024 onwards.
- 6% say they will start to address the issue as a priority in the near future.
Brazil: The biggest target of cyber attacks in Latin America
One of the points highlighted by Grant launching lead form ads for facebook and instagram: step-by-step guide analysts is that these figures appear to be the result of the increase in cyberattacks suffered by Brazilian companies each year. A report by security firm Fortinet indicates that Brazil is the country most vulnerable to cyberattacks in Latin America. In the first half of last year, 23 billion attacks were recorded against tw list organizations, representing 36% of the total in Latin America.
